The Black Girls Rock Awards show took place over the weekend in NYC. The awards show is to “celebrate the accomplishments of exceptional women of color who have made outstanding contributions in their careers and are also positive role models in the community.”
The show was hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King. Honorees of the show include Janelle Monae, Mary J. Blige, Raven Symone, Queen Latifah and more. I always love to see black women supporting black women and this is one of those awards shows that does just that.
